Dagger Longlisted

Dagger Longlisted

In 2020, in the wake of the Coronavirus crisis, I teamed up with fourteen contemporary crime writers to produce Afraid of the Light, a short story anthology in support of the mental health charity, Samaritans.

What started off as a fun project with friends born out of a desire to do something to help those battling the effects of lockdown, took off in ways none of us could have imagined.

The collection became an Amazon bestseller, was featured in the national media and even attracted the attention of the late film and TV star, John Sessions who very generously offered to narrate an audiobook for us free of charge.

Little over six months later, we teamed up again- this time with some of the biggest names in crime fiction joining us as guest authors for a seasonal special, Afraid of the Christmas Lights.

Nobody is paid for their work or time, we publish through KDP and do our own marketing with all profits go to causes close to our hearts. So imagine our delight when this April we racked up SIX nominations for the CWA Short Story Dagger for pieces chosen from the two anthologies!

I was absolutely THRILLED to have been selected for my short story, HUNTED along with five of my fellow Afraid of the Light authors not least because of the hugely worthwhile charities our collections support.
